They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul
There’s a picture opposite me
Of my primitive ancestry
Which stood on rocky shores and kept the beaches shipwreck free
Though I respect that a lot
I’d be fired if that were my job
Loved this part. Honestly didn’t even realize she was there the first time I watched it ‘til right here.
Nine Inch Nails - Only
Really liked this album when it came out. Thought this video was a pretty cool/well-executed concept.

“The Greeks” by Is Tropical
Can’t remember if I’ve posted this before. Came out a while ago (AKA earlier this year). Simple/Creative/Fun. :)
“Look Out Sunshine” by The Fratellis (from Here We Stand)
Well look out Sunshine here they go
You’ve got yesterday’s heroes in last nights clothes
You’re a game old boy judging by the way you walk
Well there’s no use telling me to leave
I’ve seen a half a dozen ghosts but I don’t believe
I’m a cynical cunt and I’m much too lazy to change
And tell my friends I’ll be around
Getting nowhere sleeping somewhere
With a girl I dreamed oh yeah
And sing that old song how does it go?
Look out Sunshine here’s the punch line
No one gets you any more
Well look out Sunshine here they come
But they only play for money you better not run
It’s the sell out show that no one wants to go to, yeah
Well there’s none so blind as them that don’t agree
They steal the money from you’re pockets almost viciously
You’re a sane old boy and you’re much to crazy to change
And tell my friends I’ll be around
Getting nowhere sleeping somewhere
With a girl I dreamed oh yeah
And sing that old song how does it go?
Look out Sunshine here’s the punch line
No one gets you any more
And what do you mean you were born to love this scene
And they would string you up gladly
If they knew just how lazy you’d been
Tell my friends I’ll be around
And tell my friends I’ll be around
Getting nowhere sleeping somewhere
With a girl I dreamed oh yeah
And sing that old song how does it go?
Look out Sunshine here’s the punch line
No one gets you any, no one needs you any
No one geys you any more
Okkervil River - Your Past Life As A Blast
I really like this. Simple, soft emotions. Reminds me of what I wanted to do with some random footage I took when I went to Whidbey Island a little over a year ago (that seems like way too long ago) with Joey, Katie, and Hayley. Of course, this is a bit more of a summer version. :)

“Destroyer” by Young Galaxy
Your heart is in the waste
No trace of the mess you made
Your little smile, shelves made of ice
Your little show, handcuffs made of snow
Those eyes, pure destroyer
Sunshine, frozen water
Those eyes, could despair
Burning up solar flare
Your scars are rearranged
Your body it feels no blame
Your little voice I never had a choice
Your little show, traps laid in the snow
Those eyes, pure destroyer
Sunshine, frozen water
Those eyes, could despair
Burning up solar flare
Something I can’t taste
It feels too good to waste
It comes over me when least expected
To harness the ache
Her elemental quake
It’s worth living for when it’s directed
Those eyes, pure destroyer
Sunshine, frozen water
Those eyes, could despair
Burning up solar flare
