Stephen breaking character always makes the episode for me, but the show as a whole last night was pretty great.

This whole thing overall is definitely worth a look, but starting at 52:20, his experiences really resonate with me.

Just watched Monday’s episode of The Colbert Report.

I love how much Elvis Costello randomly appears on the show. I wanna picture them as buds hangin’ out on the weekend and any given time Stephen’ll be like, “Hey, there’s this jazz singer coming on my show. You wanna come sing some Christmas carols?” or “I’m doing a skit where I have a hunk of ham impersonate Karl Rove. You wanna sit on a shelf on the edge of my set and just say ‘That’s right!’ whenever I look your way and shout something?” and Elvis Costello is just like “Yeah sure.”

After much flicking through photos with girls spread eagle on Vespa’s, here’s Stephen Colbert’s interview in the Novemeber 2012 issue of Playboy USA.

(To view Hi-Res, click on the page in the photoset, then as it’s in the slide mode, right-click and ‘Open Image in New Tab’)

EDIT: Reupload since I missed the final two pages.

Good god, I love this man. He’s so articulate and seems to put so much thought into what he says — I’m always fascinated seeing him out of “character.” I was going to post a couple of my favorite quotes from the interview, but honestly, the whole thing is just great.

The Daily Show @ Paley Center- Stephen Colbert Gets Sued

One of my favorite stories. Stephen Colbert reveals the only segment on The Daily Show that they’re never allowed to show again.
